The working principle of a BOSI chainsaw is to take the high rotational speed of a motor or gasoline engine, reduce it and amplify the torque through a gear set, and then drive a sprocket. The sprocket pulls a quenched chain in a high-speed loop around the edge of the guide bar, and the L-shaped cutting teeth on the chain plane off wood chip by chip to complete the cut.
The corded electric models use a 1900W/2100W pure copper motor as the power source. After gear reduction, this drives the sprocket, and the chain slides at a high linear speed of 480 m/min along the guide bar rail.
