Working Principle

The essential working principle of a high-pressure washer is to convert normal-pressure water into a high-pressure pulsed jet by using a motor to drive a plunger pump. The entire BOSI range is equipped with copper-wire motors that, through gear or direct-drive transmission, drive a set of plungers within the pump body in a reciprocating motion.

During the plunger's return stroke, the water inlet valve opens to draw in normal-pressure water; during the forward stroke, the water outlet valve opens, and the water is compressed and pressurized before passing through a check valve into the high-pressure line, ultimately being ejected at high speed from the spray gun nozzle.

Solid heat-treated stainless steel porcelain-plated plungers fit precisely within the pump head, forming a highly efficient seal in conjunction with the all-copper precision-machined pump head. The maximum output pressure ranges from 7 MPa for home models to 32 MPa for commercial models.

The auto-stop function when the trigger gun is released is achieved through a pressure switch that senses pressure changes in the line—when the spray gun is closed, the pressure at the high-pressure end increases, and the pressure switch disconnects the motor power; when the trigger is pulled again and the pressure drops, the switch resets and starts the motor automatically.

Safety Precautions for Use

1. Electrical Safety

The pressure washer must be connected to a properly grounded outlet equipped with a leakage protector. Using an outlet without a leakage protector in a damp environment is strictly prohibited. Ultra-High Pressure 380V models must be wired by a professional electrician. During operation, stand on a dry surface, and operating barefoot is forbidden.

2. Water Source and Lines

The water inlet must use clean tap water or a filtered water source; the water inlet filter cup must not be removed. For self-priming dual-use models, the water level in the bucket must not be lower than the pump head height, and the water inlet line must be free of kinks and must not draw in air.

3. Operating Specifications

Before starting the machine, the spray gun must be properly connected and pointed in a safe direction. Always turn the water on before turning on the power. The machine stopping when the gun trigger is released is a normal function; if the gun remains closed for more than 2 minutes continuously, disconnect the power to prevent heat build-up from sustained pressure. Pointing the spray gun at people, animals, electrical appliances, or sockets is strictly prohibited.

4. Anti-Freeze and Winter Maintenance
